Hi everyone,

Here are a few reminders for you all for the upcoming week:

1. Make up xiaozu no longer on tues, it's now on friday at 9.30am to 12.30pm in co room, followed by lunch, then xiaozu once more at 2pm then dazu.
2. No co pracs on 25th dec and 1st jan.

Pingxi and jiawen, inform ur juniors and the others about the change, kenneth wont be able to come on friday but for benedict i not sure when he returning.

Jiawen rmb to inform tangc that we are having xiaozu so we need use the co room earlier, sms wud be better than email cos maybe he doesnt check.

Px i gave ur number to liu ls if she need contact u abt xiaozu, keep ur phone on, and on friday if she brings the syf closing dvd, help me keep first thanks, chiuyin and i asked her to lend us copy.

Goodbye Chiuyin

Hello Pipaliuqin,

Our blog has been inactive for quite some time, it's probably bcos of exams and then holidays everyone quite sian. We had two outings just this week alone haha, in a long time, the last being the teachers day one if i not wrong when some of u came to my home. The first outing was for ce shun before he left for m'sia so that it can be a proper tanbo outing before those going for bsc leave. The second was just ytd which was for the tanbo ppl going for bsc. Ytd's outing was really memorable, altho it felt kind of boring then sad nearer the end, chiuyin should know right haha.

Yesterday morning i went to chiuyin's home to help him a bit with ruan. At first the night before we had cancelled the outing cos too few ppl were able to go and kenneth tan couldnt come. But in the morning when i met chiuyin we decided to revive the outing haha. So i sms'ed everyone who could come, our plan stays, cycling at east coast. But later in the morning it started to rain heavily, chiuyin and i couldnt think of any back up activity. So we went to eunos mrt to meet pingxi and yau xuan, the two of us got drenched like crazy haha, our pants and shoes were very soggy. We met pingxi at about 12.40pm, then we stood outside the control room and were looking at the mrt map dunno where we should go, while i talked to yauxuan on the phone. In the end we decided to go airport haha, and we had to trick yx that we were alrd in the train when we were not cos yx didnt want go airport. But px cy and i all felt extremely excited abt going there haha.

The airport is by far the coolest place we have ever gone for an outing haha, its the least expected destination but it was very fun. The three of us were feeling very very excited on the mrt and once we got off the train. Terminal 3 is very nice, esp when it rains. We had some time to spend before yx arrives so we went to kill time by going crowne plaza hotel and doing the coloring thing, and fairprice supermarket where we bought some stuff to eat. Then we went to the departure hall on the second floor and sat down and ate while waiting for yx, it was 2 plus by then. Haha and there where we were sitting was a big robot flower, and i got a very funny photo of chiuyin which i promised not to upload. When yx came we went to the food court to eat, px cy and i ate chicken rice which wasnt really nice and quite ex, and yx bought ice kachang and chiuyin got his first taste of ice kachang haha. After lunch went supermarket to buy drinks then we went T2 followed by T1 by the skytrain, then finally we went back T3 to see aeroplanes haha. We left abt 5.30pm.

We went to dhoby ghaut for dinner, actually we wanted to go with yx to vivo where he wud meet his parents, but vivo was too far cos i had to rush back for ruan lesson at 8. We reached dhoby ghaut at abt 6.10pm, but we couldnt decide where to go eat, we ate at burger king. Then we went to the music shop were we saw the silent violin, western instruments seem so much more ex than ours. When we left it was alrd 7 plus close to 7.30 so chiuyin suggested we take a cab back, but initially we had planned to go liu ls's home first before i went for lesson. The ride back to marine parade was quite fun, chiuyin wud understand haha, the payment and the choco and the scary feeling whether there wud be jam and abt the results, and the walk to laguna park haha. What happened later in the night was quite bad, the day ended quite unpleasantly for us, the lesson, the results, the crash.

Like last year when we went amk hub to watch the coffin before we left for bsc, ytd's outing before chiuyin leaves was quite simple and not properly planned but it turned out very enjoyable. I wish chiuyin a great great time at bsc, maybe now u dont feel like going but few weeks later u dont want come back, but dont forget abt hcico haha, we shall meet again in our next tanbo reunion at our chalet next year march haha, long time we wont meet :( AND welcome back kenneth!! havent seen you for soo long, we are going to lose a friend but we have a friend back. Yesterday we met at my classroom for that surprise i told u all about haha. There were only five of us (chiuyin, pingxi, benedict, ceshun and i), so many ppl didnt come either cos they forgot or they had sth on. Although it is really simple, it was made specially for tanbo and pipaliuqin, it is like the last thing that i could do for u all, i really hope that u will like it. So to kenneth, jiawen, zhengxun, yuyang, and zhunsong, enjoy viewing (:

Final xiaozu and dazu for 2009

Hello pipaliuqin!

Today's the last day of co for us for this batch, so many things happened, and most importantly we got the gwh. I feel quite sad cos it is the last time we can have practice together, and it is the last chance i can see you all, we will never be hcico as one anymore. Chiuyin and I were not supposed to be in school today, but we still came just bcos of co haha. Ytd chiuyin and i were sms'ing each other, about our conditions, and how worried we were whether we could come to school today for the final co prac. But we didnt care about our mc or how ill we will be, we just wanted to come for co haha.

The co room backdoor was actually left open, and chiuyin and i went in the morning to get a ruan and my liuqin haha, we wanted to practise during our break. We came back at about 11am and we practised tajike. Then we came back at around 1pm to open the xiaozu rooms, and it was during this time i received an extremely bad news, it concerns all of us, but u all will know it when the time comes. 

During xiaozu liu ls taught us dong bei feng, everyone played quite well, liu ls even made us sing haha, and kenneth said zhunsong seemed quite rusty after skipping many xiaozus haha. Hanhao came to our room to tell us to go up for dazu, but we were quite reluctant to go up haha, zhengxun kenneth and benedict were still in the room with us, chiuyin and i didnt want our last xiaozu to end so soon haha, zhunsong just came to get his pipa and  stayed for xiaozu only and jiawen had left after xiaozu. Dazu was quite interesting, i had not played in dazu for quite a long time, it was my last chance i could play in dazu with u all. Benedict, i hope u like the small gift haha. We all got quite lost for dong bei feng, maybe bcos zhihui had increased the speed, esp the last page super crazy fast. Yangqin was equally confused haha, kenneth tan kept us asking which bar we were at. That was another time which i felt tanbo was united, everyone quite blur in dazu and turning to each other for help haha.

After dazu it was our turn to arrange and clean up the room. We were distributing strings and packing all our stuff in the cupboard and instruments to bring home, it was the feeling of 'that's the end'. Then i found my birthday card from u all in my stack of scores, and i opened it and read,  it means so so much to me, thank you. We went to get our shoes and outside co room, kenneth tan chiuyin and i were talking about the syf photos then kenneth called for me to ask me what we were doing up there haha. I threw our 'tanbo torch' down to him, and he tried so hard to throw it back up but he couldnt haha, i rmb he said "im not going home until i throw it up". He failed everytime that kenneth tan told benedict to throw it for him haha, but also cant haha. Jiali helped to throw it up. We then left salt centre together, said our goodbyes and went home from there.

So our last xiaozu and dazu together ended very nicely. I hope u all had just as much fun and joy in co. Im really really sad to leave co, but i also want to thank each one of u again for making co so enjoyable, u all are a perfect section, u all made my time in co so memorable, thank you for all the good times we had together. Treasure the time u have in co, take care of one another and i wish all of u to continue to have lots of fun in the future!

Liu ls is injured ):

this blog is kind of dead for now.everyone's talking on the tanbo blog.so i thought i shld tell u all something.
Liu ls injured her leg while playing on the see saw with her daughter on Fri night ): i know it seems abit funny but dont laugh la.when liu ls stepped off the see saw the it flipped up so her leg was hit.then she fell over.

just now when i met her she couldnt really walk because her right leg was v stiff.she said she couldnt sleep and takes v long to climb stairs.

lets hope she gets well soon so she can come for xiaozu this fri (: it is one of the last few xiaozu before co stops for eoy.

Tanbo Outing

Hi pipaliuqin,

Thanks to kenneth we had another outing. This time it was on friday after our ndp celebrations. It actually started off as just a joke. Kenneth was joking with me about going out, after syf closing ceremony in the bus back to school. I told him i was looking forward to his initiative. And then he came up with the idea of going out for a show, then i suggested ice skating haha. Thats how all the excitement came about and it became a real outing.

On friday morning, i was just about to step into my class and i saw chiuyin by the corridor, i quickly came out and he talked to me. Then i decided to follow him around instead of staying in my class. We went to the top level to find kenneth and we stayed outside their classroom talking and we met kenneth tan but he still couldnt confirm whether he will be going. Then we went to the terraces together. After the ndp parade we were separated, sec twos and threes stayed in school, while fours had to go out. Zhunsong longpeng and i went to the army museum and we came back v late, almost 1pm, when we were supposed to meet at 1230. Kenneth called and sms'ed me on the bus, haha, cos they were alrd waiting for us at 3H1. When we came back zs went toilet first, then we went to find the others at tower block. I was surprised to see zhen tao, at first i thought he wud ruin the outing, but turned out he was v well behaved during the outing haha, and i saw a different side of zhentao, he can be a really very nice person. I had to go get my ruan from my classroom and change out of my uniform, which took some more time, i felt like i was holding back the others and cutting down on the time we could have spent outside.

We left 3H1, kenneth was hurrying us cos it was quite late by then. Ceshun didnt seem ok, he seemed tired and quite reluctant to go for the outing. We took a bus to newton. When we were on the escalator then we realised zhunsong was missing. He didnt alight, he was still on the bus haha. We took mrt to dhoby ghaut and met zs there. Zhentao went to buy a drink, and px started the idea to pangsei zhentao. Everyone ran away so fast. But kenneth and i was feeling quite bad for him. But kenneth betrayed me, he later ran off after seeing zhentao at the foot of the escalator. Zhentao came up to me and we walked to find the others. Oh no im having problems recalling also haha. Then we went to find a place for lunch. All the fast food outlets were v crowded. Then longpeng saw yoshinoya and we both insisted on yoshinoya haha cos we thought it wud be the least crowded. We met benedict with his classmates at yoshinoya. We went to order our food, and we made a big mess cos we ordered together and the lady and us ourselves were confused with our orders haha. Px kind of got scammed cos he didnt pay the student price haha. And we got two extra drinks i think, probably bcos they got confused, so we gave the extra drink to px. After eating it was alrd about 2 plus almost 3. The movie was at 4pm. We initially planned to go kallang leisure park to ice skate and watch up. But everyone just ate so we couldnt do anything vigorous. They went to see the toys outside yoshinoya. Zhentao was attracted to one particular soft toy haha. We went to the first level and zhentao wanted to go toilet. They wanted to pangsei him again, but zhentao suddenly appear from the opposite direction which he had went off, so surprising haha. We walked to cathay to find out movie times, but all the times all full so we walked back, and lp, px and zs went to gv to find out times for the 3D one. In the end we still went to kallang leisure park at 3 plus. This time we made sure no one was left out. Lp and px were specially watching over zs haha.

When we reached kallang leisure park, it was v empty, there were v little ppl. Px made another trip to the toilet haha. We went to the top floor to the ice skating place but there were too many ppl so we dropped the idea. We went to buy our movie tickets for the 4pm show. We had a little time left, so they went to get popcorns and drinks and hotdogs. Px and i saw the preview for the orphan, seem quite scary haha. Then went to arcade to look a bit. When we were walking to our movie hall, px was commenting that the place was v spooky and we shld nvr watch a horror movie if we come here again. Kenneth suggested i put my ruan beneath the seat but lucky i didnt haha cos that place was really v dirty. After watching the show we went to find the bowling place. On the way px brought us to the pet shop to see the huge bunny, it was so fat and it just sat there so lazy haha. Then chiuyin ceshun longpeng yauxuan and zhentao decided to be naughty and were playing a fool again haha. They ran down the escalator and ran about in a circle before coming up again. Zhunsong kenneth and i stayed outside the petshop, we thought they wanted to pangsei us. Kenneth was talking to me about how much he wanted to own a hamster haha. We were walking towards the bowling place, and we met zhengrui. Kenneth and longpeng left us at the bowling place. And we were not able to bowl cos they were closing the area soon for a competition. So we went to arcade.

Ceshun was hooked on Let's Go Jungle haha. He went crazy over it. He was super excited and high when he played it with chiuyin. They beat zhentao and px's score, with 90% compatibility. Zhentao kept sponsoring a lot of coins for us to play. We played the table soccer, lets go jungle, some shooting game, racing, music, basketball, and the best was still the dancing one. We left at around 7.45pm. Ceshun pingxi zhentao and yauxuan went over to the other side of the road to catch the bus back to dhoby ghaut while chiuyin and i waited v long for the bus to bring us to marine parade. Zhentao called chiuyin when they were crossing the bridge and they were waving goodbye at the bridge haha. After we got off the bus i said bye to chiuyin and i had to rush off to ding ls's house. Chiuyin sms'ed me, but i only realised when i was having lesson and i couldnt reply, sorry.

Friday was a fun day for everyone. Esp ceshun chiuyin and zhentao went extremely high. It was actually quite a different feeling for me, it wasnt so much about having fun. From what i observed, we sec fours were actually doing nothing, so it was you all, you all were able to make it v fun. We felt quite xin wei knowing that tanbo will surely continue to have even much more fun. We hope that u all will stay happy and united always. And we hereby declare the outing a success! haha, congratulations kenneth ceshun.

i know u and I said this so many times before. but i'll still say again. haha. we knew each other on fri xiaozu. that day when i just came back from obs.on that day liu ls wasn't there i think.and v little ppl came for prac.zhun song wasn't there too.haha. i was there teaching jiawen how to play yu zhou kai ge probably.i can't remember stuff accurately.haha.u can do a much better job :) i didnt bring my fingernails and it sounded horrible. i noticed u were looking in my direction.i thought u were a bit disturbed by the horrible sound i made.i said 'sorry'.haha.the first word i said to u was sorry.

then there was extra prac during dec holidays esp at that table we always use.we were abit crazy.i think we went there to prac at 7am i think.i forgot that too.then sometimes we would leave after 1pm.there was so many extra pac i forgot what happenned in each of them.i just remember that time when there were some foreigners in school.i forgot why they were there haha.then we played du zou in front of all the ppl in the canteen.u played huo ba jie i think.i thought it sounded super nice.since then i liked ruan.it started with that moment.haha.apparently there were some ppl who got fascinated by us practicing there.haha.theres was that guy with unique [just to put it nicely haha] hairstyle.after a few weeks we upgraded and abandoned the canteen for the xiaozu room.haha.but it is less memorable.i totally forgot what happened in the xiaozu room during extra prac.haha.bad memory ):

aiyo.so much stuff to recall.it'll take me forever.anyway i forgot some of it.haha.then there was tanbo outing at amk hub.i remember u talk to me abt ruan stuff.haha.it's probably that moment i liked ruan even more.so much so i was willing to bring a ruan on board the plane from beijing.haha (: [why am i talking so much abt ruan on the pipa liuqin blog.haha]

i'll just skip to syf.haha.that morning we rushed to jc to get new strings.was it for pipa? i forgot again.i just remember we got the strings from nigel.and during recess i was supposed to prac in yr classroom with u and long peng.i dont know why i didnt.i shld have.and then i think yan liang was v excited and changed into white shirt before going for his physics lesson.after lessons we met at mph.then tanbo went for lunch at canteen.then we rushed to poolside because there was too many ppl in the canteen.haha.we had fav table at poolside too (: then on the bus we were still practising.u were trying to perfect the ga da me lin 155 part.haha.during prac i was always trying to play that part well like u.but then i could nvr play it as well as u.until now.haha.[at that time the bus driver had better skills and could concentrate better than the one we had for syf closing ceremony] and then when we were waiting to enter the hall we were signalling to each other.haha.i think thumbs up and gd luck.stuff like that.on the stage i was listening to u and following u.u played v confidently and v well.haha.but i could see u were nervous.but it didnt matter because u played so well.when im nervous i would surely play wrong stuff.u seem to play correctly no matter how nervous u are.haha.i shld learn from u but i couldnt :(
during announcement of results we were seated 2 seats apart i think.when they were announcing our results my eyes were closed.u couldnt say anything to me.haha.u said when everyone stood up i was still sitting down because i was too shocked.haha.

i dont know what to say next...most of the dazus are abt the same.and xiaozu is also abt the same too.oh no i forgot tanbo chalet.haha.how could i forget such a thing.

u were waiting on the benches in src.u were reading some book i think.haha.i sent sms to u saying i had a cough and maybe i couldnt come.u were probably relieved that i was there.haha.i think i can skip the stuff that happenned in the morning.in the afternoon while u all were playing in the water i was taking photos.that was the first time i saw u so happy.and high.haha.i nvr believed u would have so much fun that day.haha.i wanted to go into the water too but my parents didnt want me to ): i dont want them to find out if they found wet clothes in my bag.it would have been so much more fun if i joined u all in the water ): when we all returned to our room u were shivering.haha.esp when we were temporarily locked out in the corridor.then that night everyone played cluedo.i think its the most boring moment during the chalet.haha.i got bored midway.i think by then u were super super bored.the game was v slow.and then we had to wait v long before our turn.haha.

then the closing ceremony two days ago.u are always so caring :) u took the blazers for ping xi kenneth and ben.but when jiawen told me at 3pm he's coming, i forgot abt his blazer.haha.im so bad.sorry jiawen.lucky u reminded me to take one for him.or else he had to wear a small blazer.haha.i told my mother to look out for yr parents :) my mother saw them.yay.when we were performing i listened and followed u again[as usual].haha.i told u it would be v hard when u leave.i would have no one to follow.i think many other ppl would also feel the same way.this time the bus ride to the closing ceremony was so boring.i have nothing to say :(

then yesterday.we practiced in the mph with ce shun and yan liang.at first i was listening to u playing cao yuan.so nice.and so well played.yr playing is always inspirational to me.it makes me want to play better too.and go for yr usual score in kaoji again!i dont know how it began, but the 4 of us there started to play pipa.haha.using bo pian to play pipa sounds gd and different from fingernails.has more ke li xing.although liu ls wont be amused by my comments.haha.and i finally learnt to appreciate xian yue ppl more after yan liang taught me gao hu.haha.

dont be unhappy and sad when u leave hcico.although u are leaving hcico tanbo, u will nvr leave tanbo 09.although we are running the last lap together as hcico tanbo, we are just running the next lap as tanbo 09.

Outing and stuff

Hi all,
I will be posting more details of the outing here.
Firstly, it will most probably be on national day celebrations. As for the venue, not yet decided but kallang leisure park is a nice place. It has ice skating, bowling , cinema, dining and cool stuff. However transportation could be problem. Next, movie to watch, i think up is nice and funny. so i vote for up. More details posted later. Chiu yin, px, Yz, Ken, shld be confirmed going, maybe jiawen and ben going oso not sure. need to ask. Pls post on tagboard if u wanna go and wat movie u wanna watch.

Finally, i would like to thank yz and zhunsong for their time and company since the past 2years, they have been great seniors to us. thanks for all the fun and laughter. A round of applause for them please.*clap*clap*clap*clap* we will miss u guys wish u all the best. Hopefully will be able to join you guys in college. Lastly, i would also like to thank somebody for being a great helper in syf and presentation night. although u werent good enough, u still helped in carrying instruments. we really appreciate ur help.

SYF Closing Ceremony

Hello Pipa Liuqin,

Ytd's syf closing ceremony was our last moment together as hcico 09, the gwh team. Hcipipaliuqin has given me so much, and im so grateful to each one of you for making it so enjoyable.

Here's a recap of what happened. The night before, i smsed liuqin what to bring and so on, only pingxi replied, at 12.05am, wished him happy bday. I couldnt sleep, i was thinking about the concert and how everything's going to end so soon. Went to school, yanliang, long peng and i, we were all so excited we couldnt concentrate in class, i was super impatient for lessons to end. My lessons ended at 2 plus, went to eat with my co classmates. I didnt care about revising for my tests the next day haha.

Went to co room, took out all the blazers i had kept in the cupboard the day before, to let liuqiners try them on. Erhu left earlier than us, for their rehearsal for the finale, at around 4.30. By 5pm, benedict and jiawen were still not here. Jiawen was supposed to be on mc, but he didnt want to miss the concert so he came haha. Benedict had gone to his fren's house to study for chinese test, i actually told him wrongly that we had to leave at 5 plus. We were supposed to leave at 6.30 so we had some time before dinner then set off for esplanade. Tanbo zi dong again went to our usual spot behind to practise together, and tangc was saying good things about tanbo haha. Dinner was next. Before that jiawen was having a little difficulty finding a suitable blazer. For dinner, most of the tanbo ppl were sitting in a circle, but tangc was kind of blocking the way haha so liuqin sat and ate together. After dinner, we practised again, kenneth and benedict were putting chalk on their knobs. Almost everyone went to toilet before boarding the bus. The bus journey wasnt as bad as rehearsal's, probly bcos we were used to not making any noise in the bus.

At esplanade, we had to sit in some loading area for quite long, very warm. Liuqin were practising our solo part again and again haha. Honestly, i was quite gandong, cos u could see that they were trying their best and how much they wanted to do it well. Reunited with xyz, cellobass and chuida ppl in the fourth floor waiting room, ran thru kentucky. Then went to first floor to wait along the corridor outside the backstage. Waited very long there, somemore got to wait for 20min interval. Px and ken were sitting on the floor haha. Wu ls gave us the programme booklets to view. We were all laughing at the description of our co and our syf photo. Then zhentao ran down the corridor, and the whole hcico, everybody lining up along the sides, were laughing, quite mean lar haha. Went in to backstage at around 9.20pm. Quite a few scary things happened there, px dropped some strings from ben's file, px's and ben's liuqin zouyin, and the most scary was we only had one spare liuqin yixian left, cant afford to break any strings. Lucky their liuqins were tiao'ed zhun in time. Waiting backstage was quite nervous. Ben was the first to enter for our row, beside cello, so he was holding his liuqin in a way that was quite nice, diff from the rest of us haha. Then we walked onto stage, heart attack. Our gada was definitely better than our kentucky. Altho it wasnt our best, it was better than our usual dazu. And for gada last part 1 55 part, i was super impressed with benedict, i could see his huanba and mine were totally coordinated, he played it so so well. I saw my parents, but i didnt realise ben's mum and my mum were sitting next to each other haha, they were talking to each other, and my mum told me they both thought liuqin only had two of us. Ben also managed to spot px's parents haha.

Walked off the stage, so relieved, everything's finally completed. Got back to salt centre, erhu stayed behind for finale. The rest of the co were released first. Tangc declared friday a break. And yijing officially handed the co to the next comm. Our job has been done, it's now on to you guys. Took some photos together as hcico tanbo 09 at our favourite spot at the back of co room, where we had extra fenzus, pracs before syf and concert, where we always put our bags, and our storage cupboards, and with the spoilt liuqin's cupboard door haha. It was a memorable spot for us. The photos are below.

To pipaliuqin, thank you for being such great friends. To my fellow liuqin juniors, i am super proud of you guys, you all have been superb juniors. You all have grown up, i still rmb u all last time quite slack and bochap about co one. Chiuyin, take good care of them. May you all always stay together!

30th July

Ok, this is my first ever blog post and i want to make use of this to thank all of you. What started out as one of the most sian school day turned out to be enjoyable and special. I was'nt really happy when i found out that the performance night was on my birthday, but now it's a memorable and unique day for me.
Cutting a long post short, i really want to give tanbo and Yao Zhang a big thank you. If it weren't for Yao Zhang, our section would have died as we were lacking motivation. Tanbo has also turned into a fun place to be in, my view of CO has also changed with that.
Lastly, on the behalf on Kenneth xD, who would like to go watch a movie next friday ?(National day celebrations) If yes, choose one or suggest another show: -G.I Joe -Up

SYF Closing Ceremony

Hi Pipa Liuqin,

We had our rehearsals for the closing ceremony today. It has been a long day for all of you, so much waiting, so much standing, so much of wasting time. All the best to those of you having tests this week also, hope you are able to cope well with co pracs, any problems with ur revision, zhunsong and i can help you. Liuqiners, rmb ur order for lining up, benedict, yz, pingxi and then kenneth. If you think the chair is quite low, like i do, u can unscrew the liuqin stand a bit so that ur liuqin is higher. If your palms are sweaty, let me know, i'll bring tissue paper. If your hands easy cold, maybe u can put ur hands inside ur pockets i help u hold ur liuqin, then before going onto stage then u take back ur liuqin. If u feel ur hands not 'seasoned' yet, then practise before we go to the backstage as warm up.

Tmr co starts at 4pm as usual, be early. Pingxi u will have to change ur yixian. Kenneth, hope you can come, get well soon. Benedict, tmr treat it as a real performance, try to play everything with no mistakes, i know you can play everything perfectly one, just that sometimes u too nervous or ur hand not warmed up yet. Pipa, today's rehearsal u all were good, dynamics for gada were good, rythm for kentucky was better than dazu, keep it up. Chiuyin was especially clear, i could hear him from my seat haha, but pipa must still play louder esp kentucky got some pipa solo parts. This week going to be quite tiring for everyone, but give ur best, it's really rare to get this opportunity. Put in more taifeng on that day, make sure u lift ur hands the way we agreed on in xiaozu. Hopefully you all will be able to go overseas for concert next year.

Three more days and it's all over, freedom. No more extra prac, no more forcing u all to practise liuqin or pipa, no more forcing to bring back ur instruments, or forcing u to come for co all the time. Quite sad. I still rmb the time i was asking nigel to come over to liuqin. Liuqiners, perform well for the concert, so that my promise to nigel will be fulfilled. HCICO Tanbo '09 Outing

Dear Pipa and Liuqin,

I really really want to thank Chiuyin, Kenneth, Pingxi, Benedict and Jiawen so so so much. Thank you for coming and for staying over and making the entire two days so fun. Oh no i might be repeating what i said in the sms. But the past two days have been the best moment of my life honestly, I have never felt so happy to be around such nice friends before. Here goes another super super long post haha.

The first day, 25th June, I went to school in the morning to go src lab. I sat on the bench to wait for chiuyin. Then i saw his sms, he said his throat wasnt feeling well and he might not be able to come. It was the worst sms that day. But he still came at around 8.40am. We went to lab, then went to change in salt centre, put his pipa in 3H1. Then helped the others keep theirs also. Benedict sms me, he was alrd at bus stop while all of us were still in clock tower. Went to bus stop, everyone almost crossed the bridge without calling for benedict. And we realised everyone wore shoes except for benedict and jiawen, we were so stupid not to bring slippers. We waited damn long for yau xuan, in the end he called and said that he has reached harbourfront mrt. Kenneth also had to wait in harbourfront for a long time before we reached. Zhunsong had book circle and couldnt come. We went to dhoby ghaut by bus then to harbourfront. Ceshun chiuyin and pingxi were all squeezing in front, cos they want to look at the tunnel haha.

At around 11 plus 12, we reached harbourfront and found kenneth and yauxuan, then went to vivo. Kenneth had a huge black bag, which he asked "does this look like a bomb?" bcos many ppl were looking at him in the mrt. We stood in front of the signboard for quite a while, dont know where to go for lunch. In the end we went to superdog, joined quite a few tables together. After eating, we talked and chiuyin started taking photos of anything around him haha. At the escalator, we met shikai and tzeyong, quite awkward cos its quite rare to see our own ppl, and somemore we going to sentosa haha. Then they played on the escalator, benedict and jiawen walked so fast they went up the escalator before we could. So we decided to trick them, we pretend say that we havent decided where to go, so they came down, and we went up. After we went up, benedict and jiawen came up, but some went down again, while some stayed up there. So in the end, i think ceshun chiuyin and longpeng went down, then we quickly went up the next escalator and went into national geo. But when chiuyin ceshun longpeng came up, they cant find us and just continue going up and up haha. So we stayed in national geo for quite a while, everything there is so antique and so expensive, a small pencil case cost fifty dollars. Then we went to third floor to get to the train to sentosa. Each ticket cost three dollars. And we met shikai and tzeyong once again. We went in and waited for our train, jiawen almost lost his ticket.

When we got onto the train, we saw imbiah and beach station, haha we were stunned for a while, dont know which one to stop at. The train must always stop at the development area so waste time. We got off at beach station and we again kena stunned dont know where to go despite looking at the map, not sure to walk or to take the bus ride. But chiuyin and I we agreed that walking was part of our itinerary so we walked. Walk walk walk, jiawen laughing at one bar called the bikini bar... Ce shun and chiuyin were walking through some small little fountain on the floor, jiawen almost wet his paper bag there too.

Then we came to a side gate that was coasta sands. Kenneth was alrd exhausted by then cos he wore a polo tee and a long pants, and didnt want to walk anymore so we climbed up to the gate, not sure to press the button or not. Kenneth was joking that it is right that we get the manager to come and open the door for us haha. We managed to get the door open by just pressing a button. But chiuyin and ce shun were far ahead, call them also nvr pick up, so longpeng and yauxuan went to find the reception to get the keys. Then we all went to find the reception counter too. But one big problem. It was 2pm by then, but they say need an adult above age of 18 to check in, we all only 14, 15 or 16. I had to call my dad. In the end, my uncle and my sister came at around 3.50pm to help us check in. Meanwhile from 2 to 3.50pm, kenneth and i went to play table soccer, my first time playing that haha so i kept losing. We also played snooker in the cafe. Some of them bought the bubble tea which didnt look nice haha. The snooker game, we played 3 rounds, in teams, first was sec threes against sec fours and twos. Second was random, i cant rmb the exact teams, the last round was jiawen bendict and I together. I only know we three always same team, and we have been losing to chiuyin and ceshun haha. But finally the last game we won chiuyin ceshun and longpeng haha. Jiawen kept gambling with chiuyin that he will skinny dip haha, but we always fail and he always win. Then my uncle and sister came, and jiawen kept saying yoyo haha.

We managed to get the keys, and then went to find our room, so dumb of us, we didnt realise there was a personal walkway leading up to our room at the back haha. Opened the door, and woah, all of us so shock cos the room was super small dont know if we all can fit inside haha. We put all our bags on one side nearer the window, then sat down. Chiuyin ceshun pingxi benedict and yauxuan were playing some board games on the bed, jiawen kenneth me and longpeng dont like these kind of games one haha so we were playing by ourselves in the little space on the floor, we were playing with the blankets, wrapping and bonding kenneth haha. Then we got bored, and jiawen was asking to go out cos he want to see babes haha. So after kenneth changed to his slippers, jiawen kenneth me and long peng went to the beach. Jiawen was forever looking out for girls aiyo... On the way to the beach, we didnt realise that there was shorter cut to the beach cos we only saw a lot of construction and areas cordoned off. We went to one spot where there were lesser people. Jiawen and kenneth went to play in the water, up to their knee level or so, jumping in the water haha. We built wells to collect water to wash our hands, and burried kenneth's and jiawen's leg with sand. Took quite a few photos and videos, then after about 1 plus hour of playing at the beach we went back to the chalet room. Washed our legs and hands at the pipe by the pool and bought drinks. Then chiuyin ceshun pingxi benedict yauxuan came down, their turn to want to go beach, so jiawen and i followed them and went again, the others went back to rest. Now we took the short cut to the beach, by then not so many ppl on the beach as before. Pingxi went straight into the waters. Then jiawen dont care also go in. Then i suddenly rmb i could wear my school u to geco concert so i could get myself wet too, so i also just go inside. Benedict also after kena splashed by water also go in. Then ce shun, i forgot how he came in, but i only rmb getting wet wasnt his initial choice. Chiuyin stayed on the sand with his camera and our belongings and shoes and slippers. The five of us were already in the sea with our clothes on, the water level at our necks. Ce shun grumbling he cant swim and he cant breathe properly haha. We had so so so much fun in the sea haha, making some failed star formation with our legs, jiawen piggy bag us but turned out to be us jumping on to him, benedict letting the current push him onshore like some dead body haha, ce shun keep on screaming help until the lifeguard use binoculars to look in our direction and he kept spitting saliva into the water. We were playing in the sea until the beach was almost empty and the sun was setting. Chiuyin took so many photos and he kept laughing at them haha. We kept going back into the water to wash ourselves and so reluctant to leave we just wanted to continue playing haha.

Got back to the room, everybody squeezed into the bathroom to wait to wash ourselves haha. All of us spray cold water around our bodies, without knowing that there was a switch to a heater haha, and squeezing and squeezing our shirts to make them dry faster. Few of us bathed too. The rest were playing board games, i think cluedo, on the bed again. We left the chalet at around 7 plus for dinner by then it was alrd dark. Yauxuan had left much earlier. Kenneth and benedict packed up and would leave us after their dinner. We took the train back to vivo and ate at Hans. Before that we couldnt find a place to eat, sakae sushi was too ex, pizza hut was full, and kenneth and i were leading everyone away from macdonalds haha cos we were sick of fast food. At Hans, pingxi helped us finished our leftovers haha cos he said he was very hungry and he didnt get his fruit haha. I was shivering like hell cos i was wearing my wet shirt and pants. We walked towards the mrt, benedict left halfway to go bus stop, while we continued finding the mrt, then we said goodbye to kenneth at the escalator then benedict suddenly walk past us haha, so we all said goodbyes and waved and left for giant, i was quite sad to see them go, even in the train back to sentosa i missed their presence a little.

Walked very long before we finally got to giant, where we bought koka noodles and heaven and earth drinks, chiuyin and ceshun's favourite drink haha. Jiawen was amazed at the size of giant, and on the escalator down to first level, he said since he not wearing school u, he put his legs onto the bottom side of the escalator and walked while holding the sides. While walking ce shun asked and begged if he could join me and chiuyin to sleep on the sleeping bag that night haha, sleeping bag to fit three people quite hard, so we decided to lay blankets or maps on the floor if not enough space. Went back up to third level to take train to get to sentosa. When we reached beach station, jiawen told me it was the last train going from vivo to sentosa, it was 10pm at that time, so heng, we tried to tell the others but they dao. Jiawen went to seven eleven to get slurpy, ce shun broke a toy in seven eleven also and quickly put back haha. Then we walked back to our chalet, sentosa was quite empty by then. We entered our room from the back door, i went to bathe, the others were playing cluedo again. I opened up my sleeping bag and we went to play cluedo, jiawen and i no choice, that was the only thing we could do. The cluedo game was quite sian, took us very very long to complete the game, from 11 to slightly past 1am. And while playing, we received a knock on our door, the indian guy from the other room angry with us cos we made too much noise. We watched mao xian wang and yu le bai fen bai while playing cluedo. Everyone distracted by tv thats why take so long to play finish. And jiawen went to toilet to pang sai halfway thru the game and he shouted out his answer from the toilet haha, so we all crossed out that thing from our papers. We finally went to sleep at close to 2am. I kept waking up at 2 plus, at 3.50 and almost 5 cos it was super super cold and i had to increase the temp of the air con from 21 to 23 to 25 then to 28. Oh and before we went into deep sleep, jiawen kept tossing and turning, telling to pingxi that he miss the girl he saw on the beach earlier and how he wished gladys had her figure haha. And in the middle of the night, we all could hear jiawen mumbling sth in his sleep haha, and someone was grinding his teeth so hard haha, but we still havent find out who.

The next morning, i woke up at 6, stood up to go toilet but almost kena tripped by chiuyin's and ceshun's legs cos it was dark. Then when i came out ceshun woke up, followed by chiuyin and the rest woke up. Ate noodles for breakfast, and watched tv, michael jackson died was the first thing we saw when we switched on. Everyone changed, jiawen gelled his hair, ce shun took the longest to change and pack haha. Then when we were going to leave, ce shun was just about jump onto the bed then he saw the blanket got one millipede on top, then he screamed. Jiawen poked it so that it curled up, and pingxi picked it up and fling it outside haha. Closed door, left by our walkway, put keys into box then ceshun went to play the mahjong game again, jiawen went to facebook, i went to see this blog haha i saw kenneth's tag "thanks" cos he told me the day before at superdog that he saw my post in the morning before he left home for harbourfront. We didnt leave by the side gate, we went by the main gate cos we thought the main gate would be closer to the imbiah station. We walked and walked, jiawen wearing school u somemore haha, chiuyin carrying our two 1.5L bottles of drinks, i carrying yauxuan's ruan, all of us kind of lost, all throw away our maps also haha. Then walk very far alrd, saw one signboard say imbiah, we thought we very near imbiah station. Continue walking straight, walked past so two bus stops, then finally came to an end, took a bus which went back the same way we came from and then to another bus stop which we still had to walk quite a distance to get to imbiah station. We kena tricked haha, walked so much, if we walked by side gate to beach station so so much faster. Jiawen called it our morning exercise haha.

Went back to school for elections and co and later in the night for geco concert. I shall write briefly cos its getting way too long, its now 1.30pm alrd. Elections was fine, jiawen was the biggest surprise for me, he said he didnt prepare any speech but when he got up there, he did well, he talked about some coming together is sth, then working together is success, his philosophy haha. Chiuyin was very nervous for his chairperson speech, i kept him company in the yq room before he went out, it was the moment which you could tell he really was nervous of. Kenneth's speech was good, im not supposed to laugh at him but he was very cute cos he kept kicking up his leg during the qna. Benedict, i didnt rmb what i was doing, i only rmb i was waiting with him at the yq room door, and i saw chiuyin and kenneth did a standing ovation when he went up, i also clapped super loud but i was too far away so i guess i failed. Tanbo sl elections was interesting, the sections were split and went to different locations, then they have their own elections. We went to the back where kenneth leong kenneth tan and ceshun gave their speech. For xiaozu liuziwei didnt come, chiuyin says she got flu, went to check if its H1N1. I went to count votes, and you all kept trying to ask questions and peep haha. Dazu was okay, everyone could play cos you all practised hard the few practices we had before. We took taxi to SCH, played some random game to decide how to split, chiuyin pingxi jiawen and i one taxi, and benedict ceshun long peng another taxi, but our taxi we kena pass two erp gantries haha, extra 6.50, total 16.50, compared to the other taxi 15 i think. But after sharing the cost we still pay less haha. The SCH seating we got for our tickets is totally screwed, some of our tickets were opposite ends. I didnt really enjoy the concert because of that. After the concert, we saw jiawen and gladys together haha, before that we met he somemore say he sitting with another friend, she couldnt come. Then when we saw them together, he was acting so strangely haha, like a bit paiseh then want to zao away from us asap and as far.Then benedict said sth really funny, he went opposite direction from us, and he said his parents came to "collect" him haha.

Our outing plus chalet has come to an end, im so sad it's all over, but im lucky to have you guys as my best friends, and i have memories and pictures of this outing in my mind which i will always rmb and never forget. THANK YOU!! (:

Amidst all your packing for the outing and chionging hw, I would like to wish those who are running for elections best of luck!! Good luck to Chiu Yin (hope your dream to get chair comes true), to Kenneth (either treasurer or sl, treasurer is more fun haha), to Benedict (asst admin, get the asst treasurer, maybe you can work with kenneth haha), and to Jiawen (dont say give up, go get what you want jiayou!).

Dont be afraid okay, keep cool, and present to the others the true persons you all are. We are there to give you full support, dont feel nervous. May all your dreams come true. Good luck! :D

And this friday marks the end of our service to you all as well haha. And as we step down, we would like to thank a few individuals, and a goodbye as your ils and sl, and finally a heartfelt gratitude for being a wonderful section. Thank you to zhunsong for being such a caring and helpful and funny SL, and to chiuyin for keeping our pipa section so strong. We got the GWH under the guidance of you guys, a big THANK YOU!! :D

Tanbo Outing Thursday

Hi all,
This is my first time posting xD.Well, you guys will meet Yaoz at 10am on thursday at HCI busstop, or other people can meet at harbourfront mrt at 10.30. If u have instruments at home then bring along. Our kind Yaoz will find a place to keep for u all. And if ur staying over pls like bring school related shirt, election scripts, cash, and a set of clothes for the concert and other necessities such as clothes and and etc. Lets hope that this outing will be a success!

Pipa Liuqin Lunch Outing

Hello pipa and liuqin (:

Today was super fun! Thanks to Chiu Yin, Kenneth, Benedict, Jiawen, Zhunsong and Ce Shun (the guest from ruan who likes to stalk pipa liuqin all the time haha).

Morning we had xiaozu. Liu ls was half an hour late and she left early haha, but we also cant blame her cos we learnt the kentucky song so fast, cos we are all pro haha. Anyway, xiaozu was quite sian for most of us. We were meng practising kentucky song, dont know how many rounds esp the 1765 6532 3565 3565... part, that we got tired of playing that song and we switched instruments and anyhow play whatever songs we knew, until liu ls went to teach zhunsong individually haha. When liu ls left, kenneth and chiuyin left us in the room while they went to the lab to catch mosquitoes and plant some seeds for their smtp projects. People like jiawen and ce shun were alrd starting to grumble theyre hungry and asking to go for lunch haha. So we went off for lunch the moment chiuyin and kenneth returned.

Lunch, we had about 4 hours to dazu, but we couldnt decide on where to go, everybody didnt want to go kap, and we didnt have anywhere else in mind. So we ended up in west mall, and we also saw benedict's home on the way. But even in west mall, we still dont know where to eat, we went to the kopitiam but no place, then to sakae sushi but too ex, to kfc but too long queue, and finally in burger king, where we all got forgot theres the student meal, which was about 2 dollars cheaper. During lunch, ce shun and benedict talked the most haha, about school and how funny their teachers are, while the rest of us were entertained by their jokes. Then on the way back to school, while waiting for the bus, they were talking about jingpo and her armpit hair haha, then in the bus, ce shun met his friend from bsp camp who looks like zhen tao. Jiawen benedict kenneth and I were togther while ce shun and chiuyin and the girl were together, but chiu yin got bored by their convo and joined us haha. When we got off the bus at the opp bus stop, chiu yin saw a girl who was wearing a shirt with the name "yijing" and everyone laughed so loud that i think the girls were looking at us.

Back to xiaozu room, and we realised we didnt switch off the aircon, lucky all our stuff were still there. We had another round of practice, benedict learnt the entire huo ba jie song! And chiuyin and ce shun were playing with the liuqins, and they learnt tajike, huobajie, ce shun learnt the front part of shimianmaifu but using bopian not zhijia, and we still continued playing the same parts of kentucky haha. Dazu was next, and tanbo did well for the kentucky song cos we practised so hard haha.

Dazu was quite good, considering the poor attendance and it's our third attempt at kentucky song. It was jiawen's first time playing and hearing the kentucky song and he said he likes it, but he got freaked out by a black ant half way thru dazu haha. Benedict was saying that so many ppl didnt turn up bcos they were on strike against the kentucky song haha. We all like the kentucky song, just find it funny esp for the behind part that sounds a bit kiddy, but other than that it sounds nice. Actually after playing kentucky for dazu, I think that kentucky is actually a good song choice, i think chiuyin jiawen benedict zhunsong and kenneth would agree. It reminds me of gada, that time when the co wanted dadihuichun but was forced to play gada. Gada wasnt our first choice at first but it made us get the gwh, and probably the best choice piece. Likewise i think kentucky will help us a lot to stand out from the other co, and it really doesnt sound stupid, even liu ls liked it for its he yin and melody. It can be a good song as a closure to syf, even kenneth says we shouldnt have an emo song for syf closing. So continue working hard for syf closing, but dont forget to also practise gada beside kentucky.

Oh no i said so much i didnt realise im so sorry. But today was really a great great happy fun day. There wont be anymore co for this week. Reminder, we have another xiaozu with liu ls next tues same time same place, if there are changes we will let you know. Make-up Xiaozu

On behalf of Chiu Yin, here's a reminder: there's make up xiaozu by Liu ls on this coming tues at 8.30am, in our xiaozu room. For those without instruments, i try to get them from co room if i can.

About what happened yesterday during xiaozu, it was a total disaster. It was a rare chance that ruan and pipa-liuqin could come together for xiaozu, because jing po and liu zi wei didnt come. But it turned out to be a bad idea, with zhen tao around. It was my fault. In the beginning i refused to talk to him after he kept criticising me for buying the chocolates for you all. He decided to vent his anger on kenneth by chasing and hitting him. Then kenneth hid behind me, and zhen tao strangled me, with kenneth squashed behind me. Everyone was laughing at us by then. When i managed to get his hands off, he felt onto me, and kenneth got squashed further, his face even got hit. Right now i am very very angry but i regret what i did even more. I just feel fustrated and bad that i only have about 10 xiaozus with you guys left, and i have to screw one up. To all my pipa-liuqin juniors, for all the unhappiness and my bad behaviour, I sincerely apologise to all of you.

Tanbo Outing

Are you all okay if we have our tanbo outing on 18th to 19th June, thurs to friday third week of holidays? If you are not able to stay overnight, maybe we go out on the 18th, then you go back home in the night and come back to join us on the 19th before we go for co at 2pm. It also means that we have to keep our instruments in the co room on that week's tues. Please leave a tag okay. Thank You (:

And about syf closing ceremony, please work hard. We must do even better than our syf. If we want to go overseas, we have to perform extremely well, although the past few dazu our standards have dropped a lot. I think Wu Lao Shi is correct, he said that this is our last chance to show ppl our best, especially since there are some mistakes we made during syf itself. This time no more regrets, make it a perfect one and have fun to the fullest. This is also probably the last major thing we can go through together before some of us leave. Pipa Liuqin wan sui!

Dazu Today

Today's dazu is one the most fun dazu ever, although attendance was very bad. The entire orchestra maybe 20 odd ppl came. Pipa had no rep, liuqin only benedict and i were there.

The most exciting part. At about 5 to 5.15pm, chen lao shi came in. I actually thought he was going to stop dazu bcos of the poor attendance. He said he had received two letters from MOE regarding syf. The first letter was the judges' comments. He will be pinning it up on the notice board this friday. Right away, we knew the next one was about syf closing ceremony. We got confirmed for the selection for syf closing ceremony!!! That means we are one of the top 3 orchestras! :) It will be on the 30th of July, at esplanade. The problem now is we have to play Gada and another song. Zhihui suggested we play the entire of gada, take it as two songs. However, could we play the gwh standard once more. Yijing has asked everyone, including sec fours, to turn up for every practice starting this friday.

The other thing that made dazu fun was bcos we played the cut off parts of gada. We started off playing bar 272, erhu ppl dont have their erhus, so zhihui started with tanbo, and we screwed up our parts. But we man lian, and quietly while zhihui talked. We got better subsequently. It wasnt really slow hor, quite fast one. But benedict and I, we were able to play most of the song! Benedict is so pro :) And benedict and I,we stayed back to help ruan and yq with their duty, cos they only had 6 ppl today. So we made a deal, ruan and yq ppl will help us with our duty next week. Please thank benedict, he dont usually stay so late, i feel kinda bad for that.

That's all for now. Oh my gosh, everything has been a total dream come true, from the gwh to the open house performance, and now the syf closing ceremony. You guys totally rock. Looking forward to meeting you all this friday :)

Oh before I end off, tanbo has a very important meeting this friday, not sure what time, but will need everyone to participate.

Happy 14th Birthday BENEDICT!!! =D

Today's Benedict's birthday! Well done guys for the job this morning haha. The entire plan was kinda screwed actually haha.

In the morning, benedict sms me asked about syf closing ceremony. I replied, but didnt say anything abt bday, wanted to give him a surprise. The moment I reached school, chionged straight to classroom, saw kenneth and yauxuan, quickly took out the card then gave zhunsong to write his wishes. Some of us were late, we were supposed to meet at 7am. Then we got together, but pingxi was missing. Finally pingxi came.

We headed for benedict's classroom. But his classroom was black! No one inside. Thought he could have gone down to terraces. Then we found his class ppl outside drama centre, all crowding together, playing games. I called benedict, gave him the card then he went back to his games. Everybody so paiseh in front of his classmates to wish. I called him out and we moved further away. Then ppl started wishing one by one haha. But there was still some awkwardness. But to benedict, we all really really sincerely wish u a happy happy birthday :)

And about syf closing ceremony. Yijing said that our co has been selected, together with dhsco and ngee ann. The results we will only know tmr. And ytd night i went to the co forum, there yijing said sth like our dizi and suona stand a very high chance of being selected for the instrumentals. He said our liuqin, ruan, bass also got a bit of chance. But I actually think the whole tanbo quite likely. I rmb that night after syf, chen lao shi told a few of us that tanbo was very zhengqi and dynamics were obvious, and he liked our section the best, and then he added, but liuqin very liang.

A little bit of encouragement just before syf

My first time posting on this blog.Even though u should be sleeping by now(yijing's orders), this is a little bit of encouragement for tmr.
On Friday Liu ls told me that we could actually have a fair chance of getting gwh. It means we really have the ability to excel and we are not much worse than other schools. We could have been better than them if we tried even harder, but there's no point in saying that now. All of us in pipa liuqin are incredible people. I feel blessed to have such hardworking and fun people around me.
Just be confident and dont be nervous tmr. Give your best and concentrate. We can get gwh if we really want it(: Anyway,we deserve a gwh.I sure yaozhang would agree with me.haha.

Gold with Honours, or not?

Hey guys,

By the time you are reading this, you probably would have already known the results for SYF. I would like to acknowledge the time and effort put in by everyone for this competition =)

Zhi Hui mentioned that there would be a high chance of us getting Gold with Honours, or rather, that's what he implied. Well, as I'm posting this before the SYF, and being the pessimist that I am, I suspect we might only be able to achieve a Gold, with Gold with Honours just out of our reach. If we do get only a Gold, there's no point feeling sad about it. Gold is already quite a huge improvement considering that just a few months ago, Zhi Hui stated that our standard was low Silver. It's better to reflect on the process. In the midst of Project's Day, homework and other stoff, we have tried our best to improve as a Tanbo section, sometimes at the expense of not handing in assignments on time, etc. We have given our best, and that itself, is an achievement.

If we do get a Gold with Honours, then this post is total crap and YIPPEE! =D

Extra practice tomorrow 2pm-5pm in co room. If you have afternoon lessons, come after your lesson. Remember to change your strings too.

The past one week, we have seen some of you improved greatly. The people whom I think really have been working especially hard and have improved so much are:

We have 3 days left to SYF. Keep fighting. For most of us, it is our last syf, we must fight for our school. All of you are my really really best friends. And to see everyone working together so united, it is the best feeling on earth. No matter what happens in the end, pipa liuqin has given me so many good memories. Basically, Chiu Yin has applied for the Chiarman position, but he doubts that he will become one. So we must prove him WRONG. I have absolute confidence that Chiu Yin will be come the next Chairman. Haha.

As for Gold with Honours, we must feel the music! Technically speaking, Gold with Honours requires the movement of various body parts in a drunken-like fashion so as to capture the attention of the judges. Movements must have syncronization and be at the right time with the right amount. I'm not very good at this.

Hi guys,

Extra xiaozu this sat is from 1pm-3.30pm. Because the dunman high concert is at 5pm. Wear uniform to school. Bring extra clothes to change into for the concert. Meet outside co room. Whose instrument is in the co room? We are not sure if Wu LS can help us open the co room tmr. You still have to come even if your instrument is in the room.

Next xiaozu will be on Monday 4-5.30pm, meet outside co room. Those without instruments have to come.

Dear Pipa Liuqin,

We got to have extra xiaozu. Wed is now for extra dazu. But it is not enough. We really need to work harder. SYF is really really near. Imagine what would happen if we do not get the gold with honours. How would you feel. We experienced that last syf, it was a terrible feeling. I do not want any of you to go through that feeling or have any regrets after syf. We are half way there, why not just put in everything just for the last few weeks. And these few weeks are the last moments we can be together. After syf everyone will be slacking. There is no other times we can work so closely together and show others what we can do as HCI Pipa Liuqin. Pipa Liuqin have a very strong unity, so we need to use it and improve on our skills.

For future practices, please make full use of the time and concentrate. I understand you all have a lot to cope with, so use xiaozu time and meng lian, then go home you can spend more time on your work. As for practices, we are having it on Mondays 4-5.30pm, Thursdays 3.30-5pm, Saturdays 10am-1pm. It will start this Thursday. As for this thursday, since it is pday, if you all want can push earlier. I will ask Wu LS to open co room but for those days he cannot, then we will have it elsewhere like xiaozu room or canteen. And bring back your instruments after every co, starting this tuesday.

Let's do this ok? We will work together. Do not be afraid of anything, you have our support in pipa liuqin. Whatever problems we will help one another.

Oh and Pipa, I think you all quite good already, practise more then it will be better. To Liuqin, Kenneth, Benedict, Pingxi and Joel, you all are improving a lot a lot. You all were super good on friday in xiaozu. Continue working harder!
